Helpful Quarantine Resources

In this time of so much uncertainty, especially within the hospitality industry, it’s been so heartwarming to see everyone band together, a reminder why we got into this industry in the first place. We want to sing the praises of all the cool people out there doing some pretty cool stuff during this isolation time. From tasty food and delicious drink to resources, tips and tricks we’ve gathered a few of our favourites for you to browse.

FOOD & WINE

While Quality Chop House restaurant has had to close, their deli and wine shop are still up and running providing locals with a delicious selection of meats, dry store essentials and wine.

Since opening we’ve created a great network of producers that have always provided us with top quality fruit and veg. Due to restaurants (aka their main income source) now being shut Natoora, Food Chain and Pale Green Dot are now providing home deliveries.

If you’re looking for an epic resource for all things food, look no further than Clerkenwell Boy’s list of restaurants and producers that have turned to alternative delivery services.

Bastarda London’s, Honey Spencer has just launched Eat East Collective, a new account on Instagram working to supporting the hospitality community in east London.

As of late March, food and wine bar The Laughing Heart will now be providing a pick up and delivery option for customers.

Our pals over at p.franco are also supplying Londoners with a great selection of their wines that you can get delivered to your door, I think we can all agree that London’s takeaway game has never tasted so good.

If you’re living in East London try ordering from Kemp Kitchen, for every meal you order they will deliver another meal to a vulnerable person or family in need.

There’s always deliveroo if after reading this list you still can’t find something to eat for supper, but for those of you that prefer to get your hands dirty and cook something up yourself, head over to The Ginger Pig or Henderson Seafood who are both offering delivery to their customers.

OTHER COOL STUFF

This playlist by Marble Magic has been making it through the Carousel team this last week, a full eight hours, it’s been made to take you though your work day so make sure to play it in order.

Head over to our Instagram to see what the chefs are keeping busy with during self isolation, expect lots of tips, insider knowledge and recipes over these next few weeks.

Looking for something nice to browse? Head on over to Sophie Davidson’s site and flip through her photo series Women Who Cook For Me.

Join food writer Malou Herkes as she chats all things food and frugal cooking with mothers and grandmothers through her slow travels. You’ll find some classic recipes in there brought to you by home cooks.

Working From Home — Tips, Tricks and Motivation – For any of those new to working from home, here’s a a great article on how to set expectations, keep motivated and adjust to your new normal.

There are lots of musicians streaming live concerts to help us get through this time. This list we’ve linked to is constantly being updated. Happy dancing.
