It’s life drawing, but not as you know it.
The idea is simple (yet genius): instead of human models, animals ‘sit’ for us, while artist and wildlife enthusiast Laura Cuppage not only instructs us on the ins and outs of drawing them, but also provides interesting insights about the animals themselves, from their characteristics to their habitats.
Following the sell-out success of the most recent workshop, in which we welcomed various reptiles through Carousel’s doors, we’re doing it again…this time with wolves. Yep, we’ll be meeting, drawing and learning everything there is to know about wolves. Worried? Don’t be. Our models are actually a family of British Lupine wolf dog hybrids who look just like wild wolves, howl at the moon and live in a pack, but are as tame and friendly as your own pet pooch.
Workshops run from 11am to 1pm or 2pm to 4pm so, if you’re looking to make a day of it, we recommend combining with a lazy lunch at the wine bar… now that’s what we’d call a perfect Sunday. Read the full menu and book in here.
The workshop is open to all, from beginners to advanced. All drawing materials are supplied, including paper, but please feel free to bring colours or any other specific media you might like to use.
10% of profits will be donated to Wolf Watch UK. This fantastic organisation provides a safe haven for displaced wolves at their 100 acre woodland sanctuary in Shropshire.
