After seven happy years, our Marylebone adventure is very nearly over. Big changes are afoot for Carousel, as we gear up for a very exciting move to Charlotte Street. Join us for our last hurrah before we hand back the keys on the 28th September…
For our final week – residency number three-hundred-and-something – we’re serving up an abundant, family-style menu featuring some classic Carousel dishes from over the years, along with a few hints of what’s to come from our upcoming Charlotte Street opening. We start with a procession of snacks – including ‘Grilled Leek and Ricotta Salata Flatbreads’ and ‘Beef Tartare Soldiers with Taleggio and Red Pepper Relish’ – followed by Ollie T’s end-of-summer consolation prize, ‘Girolle and Egg Yolk Tagliatelle with Crispy Sage and Parmesan.’ For the main event we’ve got an epic ‘Smoked Rib of Galician Blond Beef’ for you, given the low-and-slow treatment on the charcoal grill and accompanied by a trio of seasonal sides. That last one’s a nod to our first ever guest chef, Javier Rodriguez, who joined us from El Papagayo in Córdoba, Argentina, way back in August 2014.
All that, plus crazy good cocktails, easy-drinking wines and a soundtrack befitting of our last ever week in a neighbourhood that will always feel like home. We cannot thank you enough for your support these past seven years. It’s been glorious.
Next stop, Fitzrovia…
