Georgian Food & Raw Wine
The Raw Wine Fair is almost upon us and what better way to enjoy a glass of wine than with winemakers Nikalas Marani, Gotsa and Nika Bakhia. One of the biggest dates in the annual calendar for natural wine lovers, the Raw Wine Fair brings together independent winemakers from around the world and those who share a passion for wine. This year we’re marking the occasion with you by throwing a Georgian wine party.
Georgia’s winemaking methods date back some 8,000 years, leading many to believe that this could be the birthplace of wine. Many makers still use the large clay vessels (Qvevri) that are then buried underground to ferment the wine.
Our very own Ollie Templeton will be cooking up a Georgian inspired menu for us to enjoy, paired of course with a selection of wine from you guessed it… Georgia. There will also be a selection of canapés being passed around throughout the night as well so come hungry.
