Kala's Kimchi Workshop

The Kimchi Ka-ween will be joining us in the Carousel kitchen this coming June. Supplying the likes of Hart Bakery in Copenhagen to running her workshops in New York and consulting the Four Seasons, Kala’s talents know no bounds. More than anything else she is passionate about kimchi, making sure that everyone knows the magic of this fermented Korean family staple. Not only is it a delicious addition to a toastie but it’s also being recognised for the endless number of health benefits it provides as a probiotic.

During this hands-on masterclass you’ll learn the principles behind Kala’s uber popular kimchi recipe, honing techniques that she’s been perfecting for years. The afternoon will also include a delicious lunch cooked up by Kala and the Carousel kitchen, featuring an epic Kimchi Toastie, along with a few snacks and drinks. Kala, a Korean New Yorker is a curious eater. An alum of the Culinary Institute Academy, with an M.A. in Food Studies from NYU and the former consultant chef at the Four Seasons Restaurant, Kala’s vibrant charming energy fills any kitchen with light and life.
