Launched by butcher Nicolas Payne-Baader and magazine editor Jack Stanley, SLOP’s eye-catching first edition landed on our desks last month and regaled us with stories on all the kinds of things we love to nerd out on, from London’s most talked about new bakery, to the UK’s first fish cannery and even a sneak peek into Jeremy Lee’s storecupboard.
To mark the release of SLOP’s first issue, Nicolas and Jack join us for a one-off Sunday session in the wine bar. Alongside our usual menu of seasonal small plates, the boys will be serving up a couple of SLOP snack specials – think ‘Globe Artichoke, Yogurt, Ricotta, Peperoncino’ and ‘Deep Fried Cauliflower, Green Garlic and Tarragon Aioli’ – plus a carefully curated selection of wines. Come for lunch, stay for chats, and leave with the season’s must-have reading material…
