Following an award-winning year, fine art photographer Mieke Douglas is presenting her first solo exhibition, ‘STILL’, at Carousel Next Door. Inspired by 17th Century Dutch Master Painters, Douglas experiments with modern photography techniques to create ‘21st Century Still Lifes’ with digital images. Her work moves between fact and fiction, constantly changing the boundaries of photography and art. Two images, Mesa and Sierra, chosen by Jack McFayden for his Menagerie at the Royal Academy of Arts, will be shown here for the first time since the Summer Exhibition 2019.
