Just outside Suvereto, a small village between Bolgheri and Piombino, I Mandorli is nestled in the coastal hills looking out towards the island of Elba. Since acquiring the vineyard in 2002, the Pasquetti family had a clear mission: “to produce a wine that respects nature, the soil and the land, that belongs to everyone”. Cultivating biodynamically means enriching the soils with a natural composition of microorganisms that help the roots of the vines to find balance, a practice that Maddelena and her parents haven’t deviated from since.
