Have booze, will travel…
While we apply the finishing touches to our shiny new Charlotte Street home, we’re offering you the chance to experience some of our ever-popular Carousel workshops in the comfort of your own kitchen.
For the month of October, we’re taking private bookings for our laid-back wine tastings and our rocket-fuelled cocktail masterclasses. Just say the word and we’ll come to you. At home, at work or even under the bandstand at your local park.
To book, get in touch with us by email – enquiries@carousel-london.com – and we’ll start barrel-ageing the negronis…
Wine Tasting with Carousel
Our wine tastings steer clear of well-trodden tropes and focus instead on some lesser known but no less excellent grape varieties from independent wine makers who love their job nearly as much as we do. Expect to discover some fun, bright and zippy wines. All ethically and organically grown, and 100% BS- and sulphite free.
Good wines deserve good food, thats why we’ll also bring some killer snacks with us to take the edge off your hangovers.
If you want to nerd out about soil pH or malolactic fermentation, this one probably isn’t for you. What we’re offering is the chance for you to discover some rather fantastic wines that you won’t have tried before, to ask as many dumb questions as you can think of and to kick back for an hour in a relaxed setting with a glass in one hand and a cracker in the other.
Cocktail Making with Carousel
You’re going to enjoy this… In this hands-on workshop with the Carousel bar team, you’ll learn three killer (and we mean killer) cocktails, while sipping on a fourth and snacking on the world’s greatest chip’n’dip.
Cocktail making can be thirsty work, so we’re kicking off our workshops with a pre-batched Carousel favourite for you too sip on, the ‘Pale Lady Negroni’ (our twist on the classic, featuring The Botanist, Cocchi Americano, Suze Gentian and Italicus Bergamot Liqueur). Don’t worry, it slips down faster than you can read out all the ingredients.
Snacks are also an essential part to any leisurely pursuit, which is why you will munch on totopos with pumpkin seed mole (‘mo-leh’, not the burrower) as you contemplate the task at hand, namely learning how to make three absolute bangers. One built, one shaken, one stirred.
