Food Photography Workshop with David Loftus

This time round David’s food photography workshop will be taking place in our Next Door space, where we’re exhibiting a collection of his works entitled ‘Above’, a captivating selection of aerial, macro and food photography from David’s extensive travels. In this easy-going morning class David will give students an exclusive tour of the exhibition before lifting the lid on the secrets to his effortless style, from how to use backgrounds and reflectors to manipulate light and shade, to the art of shooting in black and white. Together you’ll snap Carousel’s chefs in action, hand-rolling the tagliatelle that you’ll later sit down to photograph (and then enjoy for lunch, with girolles, egg yolk and truffle for company), giving you the #pasta cheat codes to complete Instagram and get free stuff for life. Bring a camera – if you have one – and / or a smartphone, along with a healthy appetite and all the questions you’d want to ask a genuine legend given the chance.
