About Us
As well as working our way into the magic circle of London’s foremost dining destinations, we’ve fast become one of the city’s most vibrant creative hubs, home to an award-winning programme of guest chef residencies, art exhibitions and all round awesome experiences, morning, noon and night.
Big name chefs from around the world, short film screenings, spoken word poetry, live acoustic sessions, arts and crafts workshops, cookery classes, wine tastings… No two days here are ever the same.
Since opening, we’ve successfully fashioned a trend from a concept, putting the previously fringe business of guest chef residencies firmly on the map – they’re a ‘thing’ now, or so say the OFM, Condé Nast Traveller, Vice Munchies and co. – but there’s a lot more to Carousel than the restaurant alone – or, indeed, our uniquely varied experiences line-up…
Because in and amongst our much trumpeted public-facing activities, we’ve also been busy partnering up with an impressive portfolio of cutting edge brands such as Instagram, Converse, Facebook, Nike, M&S, Mr. Porter, NFL, The Guardian and Google on events of all different shapes and sizes, offering up stylish surroundings, top-notch food and drink, friendly staffing and creative in-house production across two buildings and five floors.

Content Manager
The Role
We’re on the lookout for a talented content manager to join our small but very effective marketing team. Applicants must have a background in copywriting and a strong interest in food, drink and awesome experiences. Ideally, they will have some additional experience in photography and basic design. This is a new role so there’s plenty of scope for the right person to make it their own. Whoever lands the job will be responsible for editorial content across all of our channels (website, social media, newsletters, magazine, press releases and assorted collateral), plus our library of photos and videos. The role covers the Carousel restaurant, our rotating line-up of workshops, exhibitions and events, and our creative production company, Shuttlecock Inc. We’re looking for a confident writer who gets what we do and who understands our audience. Whoever we hire will also have a prominent role to play in our wider marketing plans, seeing projects through from strategy to execution.
Responsibilities include:
. Copywriting and managing photo and video content across multiple channels (website, newsletters, social media, press releases, magazine, postcards, posters and more) for Carousel’s rotating line-up of guest chef residencies, workshops, art exhibitions and events, as well as our creative production company Shuttlecock Inc.
. Mastering the tone of voice and house styles for London, Spaces and Shuttlecock, writing the copy for (eg) new chefs, experiences, exhibitions and events in an informal yet informed way.
. Building the brand on social media by creating compelling content and leveraging the prestige of the people and brands we work with, attracting a relevant and engaged audience.
. Producing engaging collateral across all touchpoints of the business, from our monthly ‘what’s on guides’ to recipe cards as well as taking ownership and editorship of our bi-annual magazine.
. Planning, scheduling and executing compelling newsletters which build the brand and drive sales in the process as well as managing the database of subscribers and driving its growth.
. Regularly updating content on our three websites (carousel-london, carouselspaces and shuttlecock-inc), working closely with our digital marketing manager to ensure the best content and user experience.
. Working with our digital marketing manager to reach new audiences through targeted social media and PPC campaigns.
. Managing the huge database of content we have already and getting the best out of existing assets, identifying new stories to tell and overseeing content creation such as photos, videos and more.
. Contributing towards and helping shape the marketing strategy, working with the rest of the marketing team as well as the restaurant and events teams to identify steps needed to help achieve our goals, be it brand storytelling for the business overall or quick fire promotions for individual products and events.
