26th – 28th August
Let’s rewind the clock to autumn 2019. In those heady, pre-pandemic days, we were feeling pretty great about the world and decided that it was finally time, after five happy years in Marylebone, to open another little place on the other side of town. We found that place, we got really excited about that place, we even came up with a name for that place, and then… Well, you know the rest.
Travel Goods – that’s what’s written on the side of the building already, so why change a good thing? – takes inspiration from those rough around the edges wine bars that you end up in by luck as much as design on spontaneous nights in Barcelona, Lisbon or Mexico City. A hole-in-the-wall serving tasty-as-hell small plates of whatever’s good that day and life-changing wines you’ll never remember the name of to a steady influx of contended locals who don’t seem to mind that you’re on the table next to them.
The menu that we created for Travel Goods reflects some of those adventures and the food that we like to share with our favourite people on nights like those. This is the first time we’ll be serving these dishes to anyone other than ourselves and we’d love for you to come and try them at Carousel this weekend, to let us know what you think, and (most important of all) to have a great night.
WE’LL BE RUNNING A CONTINUOUS SERVICE ON THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY 6PM – 10PM WITH TABLES AVAILABLE INDOORS OR IN THE GARDEN.
