30th July – 3rd August
Say hello to Naz Hassan, the newly anointed king of London’s relentlessly inventive pop-up scene.
Following wildly popular residencies at Crispin, Oranj and The Sea The Sea, Naz joins us for a week of hyper-original, deeply personal and impressively refined Bangladeshi-Italian hits inspired by his heritage (Naz was born in Bangladesh and raised in Milan, before moving to London at 19). We’re talking ‘Stuffed courgette flowers with paneer bhurji, courgette bhorta’; ‘Lobster claw gholi bhaji with burrata, coconut & celeriac chutney, peach and nimbu chutney’; and ‘Halibut in fig leaf pathuri, green chutney, kala daal’. Hell. Yes.
With a decade under his belt at top London restaurants like Clipstone, Neo Bistro, BiBi and most recently, Pidgin, where he headed up the kitchen, Naz might just be one of the most popular chefs in our industry. If Naz’s burgeoning solo career is anything to go by, he might just be one of the most talented too.
Catch him while you can.
