Chef and best-selling author Nargisse Benkabbou returns to Carousel with big news to announce – her first solo venture, Ladeed (‘delicious’ in Moroccan Arabic). Nargisse hasn’t announced the launch date yet, but when it does open, Ladeed promises to provide a permanent London home for the refreshing, contemporary riffs on authentic local classics that became Nargisse’s signature at wildly popular Marrakech hotspot, L’mida. 

On the menu for this very exciting preview? More of the bold Moroccan flavours that we love, imaginatively brought to life with ‘a breath of fresh air’ as only Nargisse can. Highlights include ‘Zaalouk’ (Aubergine, Sundried Tomato, Coriander Oil), ‘Chermoula Sea Bass Crudo, Preserved Lemon, Sweet Pepper’; ‘Chicken Pastilla Roll’; and an epic-sounding dessert of ‘Spiced Biscotti, Orange Blossom and Raspberry Cheesecake’.

Between the new opening and the penning of her second cookbook, Nargisse might just be one of the busiest woman in the industry right now. Lucky for us, she’s managed to squeeze in a second spin on the Carousel. Ladeed indeed.
