Julie Lin returns to Charlotte Street just in time for Christmas, with another celebratory menu of vibrant Chinese-Malay showstoppers, inspired by the Nyonya flavours of her childhood.

As her award-winning Glasgow smash-hit, GaGa, continues to go from strength to strength, Julie has been busy penning her hotly anticipated cookbook Sama Sama (literally, ‘you’re welcome’), which hits the shelves next year. Honed at cult pop-up Julie’s Kopitiam, her infectious agak-agak style is all about cooking with soul and creating accessible dishes with explosive flavours like ‘pork satay with peanut sauce‘; ‘Malaysian kari lamb shank with turmeric rice’; and ‘gula melaka sticky toffee pudding with pandan cream‘ (if you still have room).

In the words of the Michelin Guide, GaGa is “lively, delicious and great value [with] all the ingredients for a fun night out”. We couldn’t put it better ourselves.
