Enfin

Sheltered in the foothills of the Vosges mountains, Enfin is a locavore’s love letter to Alsace.

This Michelin-starred force de la nature makes its unassuming home inside a reimagined 1850s carpentry workshop, where the serene and storied interior is a theatre for their poetic and vegetable-centric menus. With ethereal names like “Iodine and Asian Wind”, these change religiously with the seasons. Dishes like ‘Beef, Carrots, Woodruff’; ‘Trout Confit, Crispy and Smooth Potato, Tarragon’; and ‘Strawberries, Rhubarb, French Vanilla’ champion the natural larder of Alsace.

Enfin is the latest project from Carole Eckert, who you may remember from Strasbourg’s Comptoir à Manger. They joined us in 2018 with a simple yet poignant ethos: “nature decides for us, and for you”. Challenging our bias for meat over vegetables, and championing provenance at every touch point, from produce to crockery, Enfin is every bit as visionary.
