January can only mean one thing. Another bountiful feast of vibrant West-Bengal-meets-the-West-Country flavours from chef, food writer, author and broadcaster, Romy Gill MBE.

Returning for a fifth Carousel residency, Romy will be lighting up our new kitchen (not literally) with a week of white hot zingers like her ‘Amritsari Masala Marinated Mackerel with Tamarind Chutney’, ‘Spicy Crab with Nigella Seed Flatbread’ and ‘Laal Mass Wild Boar Curry’. As her many fans will know, Romy’s cooking is a celebration of her amazing life story, weaving together myriad ingredients from her extensive travels through India and her intimate local knowledge of seasonal British produce.

Author of two cookbooks – her second, The Himalayan Trail, is out in the spring – Romy is a regular contributor to leading titles like the Telegraph and the New York Times, and a familiar face to viewers of many of the nation’s favourite cookery shows. We’re thrilled to welcome Romy back to her spiritual London home for another unforgettable menu.
